Here's why it's technically impossible to access your data without the master password: What protects your data

AES-256-GCM + PBKDF2 600,000 iterations. The vault is encrypted with a key derived from your master password. This key is never stored anywhere—it exists only in RAM while you're using the extension and disappears as soon as you lock or close your browser.

The master password is never stored. Even we at OrdiCloud can't recover your password. If you forget it, your data is unrecoverable—that's by design.

100% local storage. chrome.storage.local is isolated by extension and browser profile. No other extension, website, or Windows application can read this storage.

No network transmission. The code makes no HTTP requests. Your passwords never leave your machine.

What it would take to access the data

For an attacker to access your passwords, they would need both:

Physical access to your computer — stealing the encrypted file in your Chrome profile

Your master password — without it, the encrypted file is just random noise
